A retro 2D PvP duel where a fragile, screen-control mage and a fearless close-range fighter trade reads, parries, bursts, and tiny moments of absurd arcade magic.
Controls: Mage: Cast / Blink / Ward. Fighter: Slash / Dash / Parry.
Rules: Mage firebolt travels slowly and owns space. Fighter parry has a 10-frame perfect window that reflects it as a fast gold bolt; late parry becomes chip block and pushes fighter back.
Win condition: Best of 5 stocks, 60-second rounds, instant rematch.
Test: Can both players understand “perfect reflect vs safe block” from color, hitstop, sound, and knockback without tutorial text?
