Magic Rampage PvP beta
Real-time duels, friend challenges, and ranked plans underline a phased multiplayer rollout. Steal: local duel first, friend challenge second, ranked later.

Mechanic of the day — Guard-Cut Spell Parry

Controls: Mage: A blink, B bolt, hold B slow orb. Fighter: A dash, B slash, tap ↓+B parry.

Rules: Parry reflects fast bolts but only “cracks” slow orbs into two smaller hazards. Fighter gains guard meter on perfect parry; mage regains mana if an orb forces movement without hitting.

Win condition: First to 3 stocks or 60-second timeout decided by arena control gems.

What to test: Can the fighter advance without feeling helpless? Can spectators read bolt vs orb vs reflected shard in one glance?
